    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Atlassian collaboration and productivity tools. Tester will work closely with development teams, advocate for best practices, and drive continuous improvement in our software testing and quality assurance processes. Tester will work closely with project stakeholders to identify gaps, knowledge areas and implement effective solutions. Specialist will possess key knowledge of Atlassian products including, but not limited to JIRA Service Manager, Confluence, Zephyr, and all related products.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test automation strategies, integrating tools within DevOps pipelines to ensure robust software testing and deployment.
    • Support testing efforts across all domains, adhering to agile methodologies, while providing technical expertise in Java and database programming languages to support development teams.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize and address issues promptly, while also mentoring on test automation best practices and troubleshooting technical challenges.
    • Streamline deployment processes by automating regression testing and validation of software releases, leveraging continuous integration tools such as Git, and ensuring the quality and reliability of products.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test automation capabilities, evaluating emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions for optimizing testing frameworks and methodologies.
    • Document integration processes, configurations, and system changes for reference and knowledge sharing.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to understand application requirements and identify potential risks and failure points.
    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies/plans for enterprise solutions.
    • Develop, maintain, and execute manual/automated test scripts and frameworks. Analyze and report defects to include conducting root cause analysis and working with development team for resolution.
    REQUIRED Minimum QUALIFICATIONS
    • BS in computer engineering, computer science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • At least 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, including designing and implementing test strategies and plans.
    • BS degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
    • Clearance: Public Trust or Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain
    • U.S. Citizenship Required for USG work.
    • Experience leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of test data management and testing automation systems.
    • Technical expertise including knowledge of in Testing Automation frameworks, Java, and Database programming languages.
    • Experience in test automation tools like REST Assured, Selenium, Junit, TestNG, SoapUI, scripting, performance, load and scanning capabilities; and comfortable with setting up automation when needed.
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
    • Remote - Chosen Candidate MUST Live in Eastern or Central Time Zone - No Exceptions
    • Remote: Must be willing to work in the DC Metro Area Quarterly.
    DESIRED SKILLS
    • Ability to perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data.
    • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
    • Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing architectures.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with Java, JavaScript, Groovy script, SQL, JQuery, HTML/XHTML/CSS, REST APIs
    • Experience with other similar tools like ServiceNow and Tableau
    • Experience producing testing documentation to communicate standard operating procedures and detailed analysis.
    • Experience working with cross functional teams and demonstrating strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with federal clients.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues.
    CERTIFICATIONS
    • Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or related industry certification preferred.
