- Ability to nurture children's growth in character, experiences, and insights

- CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to obtain certification before the summer commences
- Supervise a group of campers to provide an enjoyable, secure, and thrilling camp experience
- Collaborate with fellow Counselors and the Camp Director
- Welcome families and campers upon their arrival
- Assist the Camp Director in setting up rules and emergency procedures with the campers
- Engage in all camp activities
- Direct daily swim sessions in a hands-on manner from within the water (lifeguard certification not mandatory)
- Assist wherever necessary and lead activities when requested by the Camp Director
- Complete additional duties as assigned

KE Camps is the top provider of summer camps for country clubs across the nation. We team up with over 230 private clubs nationwide to deliver traditional day camps for elementary-aged kids. Our Staff are the core of our programs, and we take pride in offering them exceptional support. As a team member, you are guaranteed to feel part of the KE Camps Team.
Our Camp Counselor roles offer the opportunity to be competitively compensated interns that fulfill your course credit requirements.
First and foremost, your main duties will be as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you will need to fulfill your regular daily job tasks and ensure that your internship responsibilities do not clash with your work commitments. Contact your college counselor in advance to see if your summer camp position can count as a practicum, internship, or for other course credits. If KE Camps aligns with your internship needs, your Camp Director on-site will act as your field supervisor, overseeing your coursework. You will also be connected with a KE Camps representative at our headquarters in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must successfully complete the course, practicum, or internship as per your college's guidelines and finish your summer employment.
As a Camp Counselor, you will actively engage in all camp activities and aid your Camp Director in various daily tasks, all aimed at creating a memorable and impactful camp experience for the campers. Our Counselors engage with the campers throughout the day, helping them forge friendships, explore new activities, and overall ensure their well-being. The Counselor's role is to participate, establish relationships, and have a great time while prioritizing the physical and emotional safety of each child.

Our camp is situated at Blowing Rock Country Club in Blowing Rock, NC. The camp will operate Monday to Friday from June 24 to July 19 - staff members must be present for the entire camp season.
