    Description

    Transportation Supervisor Position at a Thriving Company

    Role: Transportation Supervisor

    Locations: Deerfield Beach, FL

    Duration: Permanent

    Pay Rate: $70,000-$75,000

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • · Bachelor's degree or higher
    • · 3 to 5 years of logistics experience is a must.
    • · Organization and time management skills
    • · Experience with ERPs (Oracle, SAP, etc), Microsoft Office, KPIs visualization (Tableau, Microsoft BI).
    • · Transportation knowledge
    • · DOT safety regulations
    • · Detail oriented
    • · Supervising others

    Desirable Skills & Experience:

    • · Prefer to have someone on-site 5 days a week
    • · Project management focused
    • · Worked with owner operators
    • · Law and safety understanding
    • Strong industry knowledge
    • Dispatching experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • · Oversees a diverse team focused on efficiently moving raw and finished goods while emphasizing safety and performance metrics like on-time delivery and cost optimization.
    • · Supervises tasks including payroll, onboarding, and productivity metrics.
    • · Champions change management and provides feedback to dispatchers/freight coordinators.
    • · Manages multiple project deadlines and collaborates with the Transportation Manager on cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
    • · Communicates with Carriers daily to resolve delivery issues and safety concerns, ensuring DOT compliance.
    • · Develops and documents operational procedures and suggests enhancements for smoother operations.
    • · Handles rate structures, rate negotiations, and invoice audits for timely carrier payments.
    • · Proficient in Excel, adept at presenting to diverse audiences, and experienced with ERPs.
    • Provides after-hours emergency support.
