    Description

    Responsible for maintaining patient surgery appointments for Department of Dentistry. Responsible for coordinating NCH dental case scheduling, including combo cases, for the Main Operating Room, Dental Surgery, Procedure Center, and Main Campus Surgery Center. Responsible for coordinating Sedation patients.

    • Coordinates outpatient procedures for Westerville Surgery Center, Dental Surgery Center, Main Campus Surgery Center, and Main Hospital Operating Room (OR) for patients with dental surgery needs.

    • Maintains OR wait List(s) through communication with pre-admission testing (P.A.T.), anesthesia, parents/guardians and Perioperative scheduling to determine A.S.A. rating to schedule child for appropriate OR.

    • Communicates scheduling needs to Dental staff and other ancillary departments to facilitates combo procedures with various hospital departments.

    • Problem-solves scheduling conflicts and recommends solutions to the DSC supervisor, and the Dental providers.

    • Participates in problem solving and communication with Patients/Families to answer questions regarding insurance claims. Maintains communication with Patient Accounts and resolve and/or problem solve to correct billing errors.

    • Coordinates scheduling of Dental Sedation program including Pre-sedation confirmation of appointments and instructions, and post-sedation quality assurance follow-up phone call.


    Education: High school diploma, required.
