Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Texas, California, New York, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Architect data systems and infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Optimize and tune existing data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.
Work closely with DevOps and IT teams to deploy and manage data infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance data processing capabilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions.
Expertise in building data pipelines using technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, or similar distributed processing frameworks.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or HBase.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with streaming data processing and real-time analytics.
Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
