    Position Summary


    Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, the Market Insights Analyst will lead the market and customer intelligence engine to drive enhanced customer experience, new product/program development, messaging and value proposition development, and organizational strategy.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


    Build and manage a system that regularly draws on existing sources of market intelligence to help the organization identify trends that affect IHI and to evolve and socialize a deeper understanding of IHI's key audiences and stakeholders.


    Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and directly contribute to the successful design, development and launch of solutions that solve for the needs of our clients.

    Utilize market insights tools and best practices to understand IHI's current and future customers and their needs.

    Assess effectiveness of messages and value propositions.

    Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


    Market Insights:
    Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

    Ability to analyze market data and extract actionable insights.

    Skill in identifying and interpreting market trends.

    Capacity to assess competitors' strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.

    Understanding of customer segmentation techniques to target specific demographics.

    Knowledge of consumer behavior theories and principles.

    Deep understanding of the industry, including key players, regulations, and trends.

    Ability to forecast market trends and anticipate future developments.

    Technology

    Proficiency in managing and organizing large datasets.

    Skill in visualizing data to communicate insights effectively.

    Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, or R.

    Experience with market intelligence tools and platforms.

    Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for tracking customer interactions and behaviors.

    Proficiency in using business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.

    Familiarity with social listening tools to monitor online conversations and sentiment.

    Awareness of emerging technologies relevant to market research, such as AI and machine learning.

    Professional

    Ability to lead a team and inspire them to achieve objectives.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey insights effectively to stakeholders.

    Capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather and utilize insights.

    Ability to think strategically and align market insights with organizational goals.

    Aptitude for analyzing complex problems and developing actionable insights.

    Flexibility to adapt to changing market dynamics and priorities.

    Capacity to make informed decisions based on market insights and data.

    Skill in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    Position Qualifications

    Required

    Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or commensurate experience in relevant field

    7-10 years of product marketing and/or market intelligence experience


    Technology Experience:
    Business Intelligence Tools (ex. PowerBI)

    CRM Systems (Salesforce, etc.)

    Statistical Analysis Software (ex. SPSS)

    Microsoft Office Products (Intermediate Proficiency)

    Willing to travel up to 10%

    Preferred

    Master's degree in business, marketing, or another related field

    Experience with product marketing and/or market intelligence in health care or related industry
