- Manage all employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, ancillary benefits, life insurance, accident and disability insurance, COBRA, flexible spending, and the Agency's 403(b) plan.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for management and first point of contact for Agency's employees regarding all employee benefits issues, concerns, and questions,
- Present Agency benefits during New Hire Orientation.
- Liaison with insurance carriers and brokers.
- Manage benefits open enrollment process, including any communications to be sent out to staff/management regarding open enrollment.
- Administers and tracks all employee FMLA/PFL, workers' compensation, and/or other similar leaves and absence while ensuring compliance with applicable law and Agency policy.
- Generates reports concerning HR activities for management, when and as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in an employee benefits or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Enthusiastic team player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of administering employee benefits is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience working with Kronos or a similar HRIS system.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
