The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the day to day administration of all US benefits and retirement programs including leaves of absence for a 700+ US population.

The Benefits Specialist will be proficient and knowledgeable in all aspects of benefits administration and compliance, with the ability to shift priorities and multitask.

This position will be customer focused internally and externally, which requires a high level of collaboration, follow through, detail orientation, and strong oral and written communication skills.


This is a hybrid position based in our New York office and requires you in the office at least 2 days per week.


Responsibilities:


  • Overall day to day administration of health, welfare, FSA, and retirement benefits.
  • Set up and administration of wellness events, open enrollment, etc.
  • Assist employees with benefit elections, filing claims for the leave of absence programs, including but not limited to disability, worker's compensation, paid family leave, and FMLA.
  • Responding to benefit inquiries from active and former employees in a timely manner. Review and process accommodation requests and recertification.
  • Maintaining all benefit related transactions in the HCM system and performing audits to ensure data integrity. Review of weekly carrier file feeds to ensure enrollment and eligibility data were properly transferred.
  • Act as a liaison to payroll for benefitsrelated payroll activity. Responsible for the maintenance of all benefits files.
  • Reconcile and process monthly benefit invoices for payment. Handling special projects as assigned.
  • Any other duties that can reasonably be expected of you.

Experience, skills, and qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of Benefits Administration experience
  • Working knowledge of health and welfare plans, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, qualified retirement plans, ERISA, and Section 125 plans
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of HCM systems, and Microsoft office suite, proficiency in Excel is a must
  • Strong oral and written communication is required

US Annualized Base Salary Range:
$70,000 - $85,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
