    Description

    Position Summary

    Works under the general supervision of a section head to supervise the minute clerks, consisting of subordinate employees engaged in performing duties for the Clerk's office.

    Pay Grade: 49

    Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education

    Minimum Qualifications

    100% -

    1.Three (3) years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity; AND

    2. Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, management or a closely related field; OR

    3.An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.

    4.PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinate employees of an assigned area.

    2. Plans, schedules and coordinates work operations.

    3. Evaluates work performance of employees to ensure efficient and economical work operation.

    4. Recommends selections, promotions, status changes, disciplinary actions and terminations.

    5. Plans and carries out the training and development of employees.

    6. Solves problems related to the work supervised.

    7. Determines material, equipment and facilities needed for the unit.

    8. Assembles information and prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.

    9. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

    1. Knowledge of supervisory practices and techniques.

    2. Knowledge and/or skill required of the work activities supervised.

    3. Managerial/leadership abilities.

    4. Ability to coordinate and direct the activities of assigned personnel.

    5. Ability to communicate and work with other departments.

    6. Ability to prepare composite reports.

    7. Knowledge of the JCS, TCSES, Clerk's System.
