- Leverage data to develop a deep understanding of CAF's business operations and growth strategies. This may include analytical work within any of the following teams: credit originations, pricing, forecasting/modeling, product management, and servicing analytics
- Use database tools/software to extract key data, analyze trends, model predictive analytics and identify targeted areas for innovation and testing using a combination of statistical and database tools focus on the more complex areas of the business
- Demonstrate strong teamwork by partnering effectively with others to meet common objectives; Be able to lead cross-functional projects within the CAF organization
- Review and analyze existing business strategies and be prepared to recommend and implement new processes or strategies based upon the data/analysis
- Produce reports and analysis for monthly portfolio performance tracking and evaluation
- Coach and train more junior analysts
- Degree in an analytical major (Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.) with evidence of academic achievement required
- 2 – 3 years of experience in an analytical or strategic role or a combination of work experience and an advanced degree
- Strong technical ability to access, manipulate, and interpret data
- Ability to understand complex business problems and design effective solutions
- Proficiency with computers, general software, Excel and PowerPoint are required
- Proficiency with database systems and/or software packages (ex: SAS, SQL)

About this job
Each year, CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) helps CarMax customers with vehicle financing and optional protection products. CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) is seeking a Senior Analyst of Credit Risk to be a part of our growing organization. The Senior Analyst of Strategy is responsible for providing analytical support for the effective management and growth of CAF's portfolio, including voluntary protection products, originations and portfolio management functions. The Senior Analyst must develop and maintain an understanding of key business metrics and be willing and able to drive change as the business evolves. The role provides the opportunity to understand, communicate, and influence CAF objectives and processes to the larger CarMax organization.

You will be entrusted to work independently, in an environment that is collaborative, fast-paced, and teamwork-centric. A candidate will use advanced analytics to provide business insights to business leaders with similar or different business backgrounds through effective communications both verbally and thru presentations. This Associate must be passionate about using data to drive business decisions, have experience working within an analytical team, and have the ability to coach and guide more junior analysts.
Qualifications and Requirements
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Kennesaw, GA Office and has a Hybrid work arrangement in office 2 days a week
