    Immediate opening for a QC Technologist in Santa Fe Springs, CA who possesses:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field is highly preferred
    • 2+ years of quality control experience
    • Experience in the food manufacturing or nutraceutical industry required
    • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Allergens preferred

    FULL DESCRIPTION: The quality control technologist conducts quality tests for finished sauces.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for:

    • Calibrate equipment, and conduct lab tests for finished products (sauces).
    • Analyze physical values against specification sheets and adjust when needed.
    • Monitor production lines.
    • Inspect, and assist the warehouse team in receiving, and printing labels for raw materials.
    • Conduct shelf-life checks on retained finished products.
    • Investigate, create a Hold/Release Report, and tag for the Hold/Release products.
    • Create CoA, and contact suppliers for missing and new documents.
    • Maintain, modify, and create new specification sheets for finished products.
    • Conduct internal audit, security check, prepare reports, and follow with corrective actions.
    • Conduct package quality inspection and quality audits and isolate products that do not meet standards.
    • Perform tests when needed (ATP, allergen, etc.).
    • Conduct microbiological tests and release products.
    • Communicate with other departments when needed.
    • Maintain the highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination.
    • Other projects or duties as assigned.

    The selected candidate will also possess:

    • Preferred bachelor's degree in food science or related science field. With a minimum of 1 year in production/manufacturing or lab tests experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
    • Strong analytical skills with knowledge about GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Allergen.
    • Ability to read, write, and keep records.
    • Good computer skills including literacy with Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
    • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
    • Preferred food/beverage/sauce industry experience.

    Salary Range: $26-28/hr
