    Location/Division Specific InformationThis role will be site based and provide strategic HR leadership for the global HR function, Customer & Commercial Excellence, and Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs (QARA).How you will make an impactAs Director Human Resources, you will align HR services and responsibilities to the needs of the function(s) you support, liaising with the business leaders and extended leadership teams.

    Through this collaborative and consultative approach, you will define and execute plans to address the strategic people initiatives of the organization and functions.

    Collaborate with functional leadership teams on organizational effectiveness, design and development initiatives; using tools, processes and past successes, ensure successful facilitation of organization changes.

    Improve people development within the areas supported; use existing tools and processes, ensuring leadership accountability, a focus on talent/roles with the greatest potential/needs, and raising the bar on what the organization delivers relative to performance feedback and employee development.

    Partner with business leaders, and where appropriate the talent function, to assess current talent and develop or implement long-term talent strategies that ultimately improve the performance and set the organization up for longer term success.

    Working with TA on the sourcing and recruitment process for the relevant functions, ensure key positions are filled timely while improving the diversity and level of talent coming into the organization.

    Where applicable, ensure implementation of compensation plans and programs that optimally support the strategic objectives.

    Actively support company-wide people initiatives and ensure delivery of programs and initiatives aligned to the overall HR strategy for Thermo Fisher.

    Manage a team of 1 direct report and 2 indirect reportsHow will you get here?Bachelors degree required; MBA or MS in Human Resources is desirable8 years of HR management, and broad-based human resources experience with progressively responsible leadership rolesAbility to translate business needs into effective people strategies and actions to execute against those strategiesProven accomplishments in leading HR through cultural change efforts and demonstrating value to the businessStrong communication, collaboration and influencing skills; able to market ideas to a diverse leadership teamKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAbility to act as a credible mentor and facilitator and, based on our values, a role model for effective leadership and performanceComfortable in a complex, highly matrixed, fast-paced environment10% travel requiredCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $149,700.00$228,750.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
