    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our non-profit organization in Fresno, CA. As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Financial Management:
      • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
      • Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records.
      • Collaborate with program managers to allocate resources effectively.
    • Board Reporting and Presentations:
      • Prepare comprehensive board packages, including financial statements, analysis, and relevant reports.
      • Present financial updates and performance metrics to the board during regular meetings.
      • Address any financial inquiries from board members.
    • Audit and Compliance:
      • Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
      • Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
      • Work closely with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
    • Financial Strategy and Planning:
      • Assist in developing long-term financial strategies aligned with the organizations mission.
      • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and growth initiatives.
      • Evaluate financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
    • Team Leadership:
      • Manage a team of finance professionals, including accountants and financial analysts.
      • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management within the non-profit sector.
    • Strong knowledge of not-for-profit accounting practices and financial reporting.
    • Experience in preparing board packages and presenting financial information to board members.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, etc.).
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    Compensation:

    • Annual salary: $120,000
    • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
