THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


  • The main responsibility of this position is to assist in managing Pine Grove Furnace State Park in state parks region #3. Your responsibilities will include performing administrative tasks and assisting the park manager with office management duties. It is essential that you possess technical skills and knowledge in all administrative aspects of the department of conservation and natural resources (DCNR) and bureau of state parks (BSP) management. You will be expected to demonstrate initiative and independence in your work, handling confidential information and making independent decisions based on your experience and expertise. You will also have authority in office management and administrative functions. Additionally, you will be responsible for engaging in public contact and effective communication to establish and maintain cooperative relationships, and may represent the park at meetings and training sessions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
