Tracey SheetsCompensation: $ $24.00 / hourDescriptionAs a Production Supervisor Assistant for Alternate Formats, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the production processes of materials designed for individuals with diverse sensory needs, including but not limited to braille, large print, audio, eText, and conventional print.
You will be responsible for assisting in managing a team of production staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining efficiency in the production of alternate format materials.
Your leadership will be crucial in meeting the organization's commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.The expectation is that this assistant's role will move into a supervisory position should we need a second shift.
Candidate would then need to be willing to work evening shifts IE: 3 pm - 11 pm.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of production staff to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
Assist supervisor to provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT:
Assist supervisor in managing all aspects of the day-to-day production and quality control activities to meet client Service Level Agreements (SLA's) while meeting all Quality Control requirements.
Assist supervisor to develop, implement, and maintain a new employee training plan which is to include validating their competency, with assistance from DAS Facility Manager.
Assist supervisor to develop, implement, and maintain training program manuals and standard operating procedure manuals for all production employees with assistance from DAS Facility Manager.
Assist supervisor to review SOP's (Standard Operating Practices). The plan is to include sign-off by all production employees when developed and a sign-off annually.Assist supervisor to maintain training records for all production employees.
Assist supervisor to manage inventories for facility supplies for US and Canadian operations.
Thorough knowledge of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards. Assist supervisor to ensure the DAS staff are always fully compliant with the relative security standards and processes.
Able to execute routine maintenance for all facility equipment which includes accurate record keeping and ensuring the maintenance is performed.
Assist in maintaining DRP requirements for production.Able to onboard new customers to the Crawford Technologies production systems with the assistance of the Professional Services staff and the DAS Facility Manager.
Assist DAS Accounting Staff with customer invoicing as required.Assist supervisor to ensure all customer production reports are accurate and provided on-time.
Use appropriate resources as required and assist with customers' questions and problems regarding production orders.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Excellent computer application skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION & BENEFITSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field such as printing technology, graphic design, or production management.
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a production environment, preferably in alternate format production or a related field.
