General SummaryThe Maintenance Technician / Lead is responsible for performing vital functions of the operation in a manner that is economically successful, strategically oriented, technically innovative, and safely executed.
This individual will be responsible for all Mid entry-level maintenance under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and/or general facilities maintenance technician/s.
Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters and hand toolsGeneral knowledge of hardwareAbility to communicate with leads to resolve maintenance issuesPerform preventative maintenance on, equipment, including cleaning and lubrication motorsVisually inspect tools, equipment and machines.
Carry equipment necessary to complete dutiesIdentify, locate and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildingsTest, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains)Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance workPerform repairs on Electrical Systems/ install MC cable and work in electrical PNL'SMinimum Job QualificationsExperience in the cannabis industry preferredStrong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsGeneral knowledge of occupational safety and health standards in the workplaceEither completed general maintenance course or has the ability to be trainedDisplay knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories:
AC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls and/or general building Must be at least 21 years of age Employee ConductPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry items necessary for repairs, inventory restock and general maintenanceAbility to carry boxes, products, tools and other necessary items Ability to regularly perform shop maintenance items:repair, diagnose, sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, maintain all areas of business including back stockroomAbility to safely lift boxes up to 50lbs without assistance and heavier lifting with assistanceComfortable climbing laddersWork in warehouse environments and outdoors ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold and/or wind.
This job role could require exposure to cannabis products which could exist in the forms of plant, oil, vegetative matter, pollen, vapor or smokeExpected hours of workThis is a full-time position Weekend and holidays are expected to be worked as neededTypical work days and hours are between Monday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m.
