    Role: Senior Battery Process Engineer

    Industry: Battery Tech

    Location: Louisiana

    Salary: $120,000-$150,000

    The Role

    An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Process Engineer ready to lead advancements in battery materials and energy storage technologies.

    In this position, the main goal is to optimize manufacturing processes for Si/C composite materials, focusing on enhancing efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, particularly in chemical vapor deposition coatings. Knowledge of PVD, CVD, and PECVD technologies is a plus. Collaborating with materials engineers to integrate new materials into current manufacturing methods is vital.

    Requirements & Preferred Skills

    • Advanced Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
    • A solid grasp of CVD and Silicon Anode technology.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of battery anode electrodes and processes for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries of the future.
    • Utilize Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) to meticulously coat Si/C composites. Fine-tune and enhance CVD processes to identify optimal deposition parameters and assess coating performance, continuously improving the process.
    • Innovate and assess new silicon-carbon composite materials through lab-scale testing.
    • Work closely with the manufacturing team to optimize production scaling.
    • Evaluate electrode performance, establishing correlations between materials and processes, and driving enhancements to meet cell performance requirements.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and successful collaboration across various organizational levels.
    • Effectively communicate with management at all levels, integrating diverse perspectives into cohesive solutions.
