- Develop the optical specifications for high NA imaging objective lens designs, guide the lens module fabricator integration of new high NA objectives and broadband imaging optics for inspection systems enabled by high precision optics products from world's leading suppliers.
- Effective use of CodeV or Zemax to design (using both local and global optimizers) to minimize residual aberrations in imaging lenses, pupil relays and zoom lenses both to evaluate the nominal design performance as well as the as-built Monte Carlo tolerance performance changes.
- Construct complex sequential and non-sequential models using above lens designs as well as polarization and attenuating components with all critical optical parameters needed to produce accurate raytracing simulations of Strehl/WFE performance, coherent and incoherent PSF, focal depth of fields and pupils, multiple bounce ghost analyses or stray light analyses, as well as polarization ray tracing to quantify transmission, retardance, and diattenuation.
