The Civi Group has partnered with a leading family-owned contractor in Northern Boston, known for their expertise in bridge, highway, transit, railroad, and marine construction, to recruit an Estimator with a focus on heavy civil projects.

In this role, the Estimator will handle daily estimating tasks for construction projects, which include performing quantity take-offs, managing costs, communicating with construction teams and subcontractors, preparing RFPs, and analyzing bids.

The position also involves field take-offs, frequent interactions with construction teams and subcontractors, and participation in RFP preparation and bid analysis.

Compensation:

Salary: Up to approximately $150K based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with project team members.
Interpret plans and identify construction materials for bidding purposes, with a focus on heavy civil projects.
Manage project scoping, clarification, and pricing efforts.
Maintain project lists and vendor database.
Generate estimates through quantity takeoffs and subcontractor/vendor quotes.
Assist with schedules and estimates as required.
Attend site visits and prebid meetings.

Skills & Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of heavy civil estimating experience, with a track record in highway, bridge, marine, rail, and trackwork projects.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, team environment.

Pay:
Up to $150,000.00 per year
