    Description
    Senior Fund Controller | Multi-Strategy Investment Firm

    • Boston, MA
    Our client is a multi-billion dollar alternative asset manager that utilizes various strategies to meet their investors' objectives.

    They are currently seeking a Senior Fund Controller for their credit arm that will help build out this team and report into the CFO.

    This position will work 3 days/week out of their office in downtown Boston and is targeting a base salary in the $140k-$160k range plus 25% bonus.


    Responsibilities:
    Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements and partner's capital statements across fund vehicles
    Coordination of the valuation process and preparation of associated papers for valuation committee
    Identify potential improvements to the operational processes and activities of the team, proposing and leading implementation of methods for more efficient and effective working across the operating platforms
    Oversee the preparation and dissemination of fund vehicle distributions and capital calls
    Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful operational delivery. Determine and apply best operating practices to ensure efficiency is maximized
    Work closely with independent auditors, especially during the preparation of the year-end audited financial statements


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA license preferred
    6-10 years of private credit experience in private or public accounting
    Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of products
    Ability to identify and manage operational risk
    Demonstrates responsibility and accountability
