    LONG TERM CONTRACT / 60-65HR / ONSITE / PROVIDENCE, RI

    We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that support our organization's operations. This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems, networking, and cloud technologies to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, deploy, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
    • Implement and manage Azure based services and solutions to support business operations and applications.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources for maximum efficiency and uptime.
    • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure connectivity and security.
    • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data and ensure business continuity.
    • Conduct security assessments and implement security best practices to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with software developers and application teams to deploy and integrate new systems and applications.
    • Develop and maintain system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role.
    • Strong proficiency in systems administration, including Windows and Linux server environments.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services
    • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
    • Experience with firewall and security technologies (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks).
