- Lead and assist in preparing bridge and building design documents, including design calculations, AutoCAD plans, specifications, and quantities.
- Generate formal reports.
- Participate in structural inspections as a field crew member occasionally.
- Supervise, coordinate, and mentor junior staff.
- Collaborate with internal disciplines and office locations.
- Solid background in structural analysis and theory.
- Excellent technical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Experience in finite element analysis is a plus.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Keenness to learn and take on responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island is mandatory.
- 7 to 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Prior experience in bridge design is necessary, building experience is advantageous.
- Experience with MassDOT design is required, RIDOT experience is a bonus.
