- Perform assigned testing in the Microbiology department, including media preparation.
- Manage inventory of microbiological supplies and media.
- Maintain cleanliness in laboratory areas and handle biohazard trash.
- Assist in client facility visits for water and environmental sampling.
- Collaborate with other analysts as needed.
- Evaluate data with guidance from senior staff for process improvement.
- Prior experience in Microbiology testing.
- Proficiency in working with microorganisms and biohazard materials.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and quality control standards.
- High School diploma and relevant laboratory experience; a degree in Microbiology or Life Science is preferred.
- Strong communication and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work in a team, multitask, and prioritize safety.
- Capable of lifting up to 20lb in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
The Microbiology Department at the Torrance, CA laboratory is responsible for conducting various microbiological tests on a range of substances and products. Full-time and part-time positions are currently available, with some being temporary. Both morning and afternoon shifts are offered, with weekend and holiday rotations when necessary, working from 11am to 7:30pm.
