The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim, is currently seeking a
Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d), reference number 2024_08, initially on a fixed-term basis,
full-time (part-time possible).
The Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim is an internationally renowned research institute in the field of biomedicine.
Responsibilities:
- Production of precision mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic components according to design templates or other technical specifications
- Assembly of components
- Creation of NC code and production of complex workpieces on CNC machines
- Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment (e.g. vacuum pumps, autoclaves, incubators)
- Advising scientists on application problems and seeking optimal customerspecific solutions, taking into account functional, manufacturing, and economic aspects
Your profile:
- Completed training in precision mechanics or a comparable field
- Independent, selfdirected, and solutionoriented work style
- Several years of professional experience in scientific equipment construction
- Solid knowledge of computeraided CNC and CAM techniques
- Knowledge of English is an advantage
