The Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz is seeking a Sound Engineer (m/f/d) to join their team at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season.

This position offers a diverse, dynamic, and challenging role within an experienced, professional, and established team.


Responsibilities:

  • Independent and responsible artistic and technical work in a repertoire theater
  • Development and implementation of productionrelated audio concepts in close collaboration with artistic teams and other departments
  • Sound engineering support for rehearsals, performances, concerts, and events
  • Management of guest performances
  • Creation and editing of sound recordings and playback
  • Comprehensive and creative use of available digital and analog audio technology
  • Close collaboration with the video department
  • Documentation, editing, and archiving of productions and events
  • Maintenance and updating of sound equipment

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a Sound Engineer or equivalent qualification with several years of experience in theater
  • Extensive experience in theater operations, live sound, studio work, and the use of analog and digital audio technology
  • Technical and creative competence in solving diverse audiorelated challenges
  • Excellent hearing and musicality
  • Knowledge of mediaspecific networks
  • High artistic sensitivity
  • Selfreliance and initiative
  • Good planning and organizational
