We are currently seeking an HR Advisor who will be a key resource for hourly and salaried employees at our Elgin, Illinois facility.

In this generalist role, the HR Advisor will manage the full employee life cycle including, but not limited to, recruitment and onboarding, training, employee relations, engagement, and corrective actions.

Activities also include assistance with the management of employee benefits, compensation, employee records and personnel policies. This position reports directly to the Regional HR Business Partner.

When your actions lead to success.

  • Perform routine tasks to administer and execute human resource programs, including hourly compensation, benefits, leaves, employee relations, disciplinary matters, talent management, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Assist in handling employmentrelated inquiries from hourly and salaried employees, including complex and sensitive matters.
  • Ensure payroll compliance by submitting accurate employee timecard records and reviewing related reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices, by reviewing policies and practices.
  • Assist in cultural improvement initiatives, wellness activities, and internal employee engagement.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, such as personnel files and attendance records.
  • Manage company communications by ensuring uptodate employee notices are posted throughout the building via communication boards and TV screens.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters.
  • Innovate and create new processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with onsite EHS Coordinator to contribute to site safety efforts.
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting injuries, accidents, and hazards.

What you have to offer

  • Degree in related field of HR, Psychology, Sociology, etc. preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • 35 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Effective communicator with clear and consistent messaging, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exemplary professional behavior and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Selfdirected with the ability to prioritize projects and take direction.
  • Flexibility in work hours to support multiple shifts and 24/7 operations.
