Job Summary:

A Driver is responsible for transporting clients from designated pick-up locations to the KANDU facility, utilizing a KANDU vehicle.

Their duties include assisting clients with the KANDU bus they are provided for the transport, using a navigation system to map their route, and transporting clients from designated pick up locations to the proper drop-off location in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Transport clients to and from destinations
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
Always interact with clients professionally and friendly
Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
Inspect vehicle for safety and maintenance daily
Communicate when vehicle repairs are needed
Keep mileage records and repair records uptodate

Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance

Must have a clean driving record

Be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Must be able to assist clients on and off the bus

Must be able to operate a wheelchair lift

Be dependable and reliable.
Be able to work in a team and individually with little supervision.

Must be ablet to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical

Be able to read maps, directions, layouts, drawings, and verbal and written directions.
Previous transportation experience is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

Effective communication.
Proficient knowledge of Wisconsin's rules of the road.
High school or equivalent.
Strong ability to solve problems and implement solutions.
Ability to learn quickly and work in a fastpaced environment.
