The Walter AG, based in Zell, is currently seeking:

R&D Specialist Cutting Materials Solid Roundtools (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

Your main task is to lead and participate in projects with a focus on cutting material development for Solid Roundtools (carbide and HSS)
You will be responsible for selecting, evaluating, and approving semifinished product suppliers
You will work closely with the departments of coating development, product management, R&D Roundtools, engineering, purchasing, as well as external partners (universities, customers)
Conducting experiments in the laboratory and at customer sites is also part of your job
You will monitor the market for trends

Your profile:

You have successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering
You have good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field, especially indepth machining knowledge and cutting material knowledge, structure and application with a focus on Solid Roundtools (carbide, HSS, coating)
With good English skills in speaking and writing, you can inspire others with your ideas and visions
Your structured way of working ensures the success of your projects
