Job Description

Privately owned environmental laboratory in Ferndale is looking for candidates to fill an entry level position in wet chemistry & prep labs.

A short summary of duties:
Prepare volumetric solutions, standard solutions, and samples for various chemical and physical tests according to approved methods. Conduct routine and non-routine testing of materials using a variety of equipment and test methods in wet chemistry lab. Sample preparation in organic & metals laboratories. Prepare data and documentation using calculators and computer software. Entry and review of data in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Evaluate and investigate results from various analyses. Participate in special projects such as laboratory equipment validation, analytical method transfers and SOP reviews. Properly dispose of sample preparations and solutions according to safety and environmental procedures. On occasion, answering phones and customer interactions may be a part of daily tasks. College chemistry knowledge is preferred, but not required

Immediate start. $15-$18/hour depending on experience/education. Full and part time candidates may apply. For consideration, please include a resume.
