    Job Summary:
    Arlo Chicago is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team.

    As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests.

    You will also play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring a smooth operation of the bar area.

    This is a full-time, individual contributor position in the hotel/hospitality industry located in Chicago, Illinois.


    Compensation & Benefits:
    The compensation for this position is $9.48 per hour, paid biweekly.

    In addition, eligible employees will receive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within the company.


    Responsibilities:

    • Welcome guests and take their orders, providing suggestions and recommendations as needed
    • Accurately prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
    • Utilize a POS system to ring in orders and process payments
    • Maintain a clean and organized bar area at all times including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
    • Monitor alcohol intake and identify any potential issues or concerns
    • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing outstanding customer service
    • Create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for guests by engaging in conversation and providing a memorable experience
    • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
    • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure a smooth operation of the bar area
    • Attend and actively participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on menu changes and promotions

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • At least 1 year of experience as a bartender in a fastpaced restaurant or bar setting
    • Knowledge of cocktails, beers, and wines
    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a highpressure environment
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Basic math and cash handling skills
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
    • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
