- Serve as the primary contact for all accounting needs of assigned clients/entities. Thoroughly understand the business purpose and financial accounting and reporting needs of each entity.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements based on a complex, multi-tier ownership structure.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for individual and consolidated entities.
- Prepare and record journal entries and allocations.
- Supervise, train and mentor Staff Accountant assigned to shared entities and interns.
- Work with Staff Accountant on all areas of accounts payable including vendor management, payment processing, and consistent, accurate coding.
- Prepare and review various account reconciliations.
- Administer the corporate credit card program including processing reports, reconciling to the general ledger, and troubleshooting user issues.
- Prepare and submit 1099 and 1096 forms.
- Research and summarize data, offer solutions, and elevate issues when required using discretion and judgment.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and promote efficiency.
- Key role in software implementation, process improvement, and efficiency initiatives within the accounting team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of related work experience required.
- Strong user of accounting software programs and Microsoft Excel with a history of leveraging technology.
- Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, and timeliness
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to initiate, prioritize, communicate, and follow through on projects.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees in a professional and highly confidential corporate environment.
