    Description
    Our ClientFessler & Bowman, Inc. is a premier concrete and earthwork contractor located in Nashville, TN working on projects around the country.

    With a 50+ year history of quality, safety, and profitability, the Company has relied on its strong leadership team and core principals.

    The Company is headquartered in Michigan and has high-growth regional offices in Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC.

    F&B is involved in all things concrete, earthwork and site utilities related, including building foundations, concrete slab on grade, concrete elevated slabs, shored concrete slabs, industrial press pit foundations, concrete pavement projects, site development, to earthwork and pipework.

    The Senior Estimator
    • Concrete PositionThe Senior Estimator is responsible for all aspects of the estimating function, including bid analysis, plan review, quantity take offs, subcontractor pricing collection, putting together bid information, and assessment of both winning and losing bids.
    Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

    Developing innovative, accurate estimates consistent with Fessler and Bowman's costsConducts a thorough and detailed project take-off, assembling all quantities, man hour requirements, etc.

    Solicits subcontractor and supplier pricing, reviewing prequalification requirements, and determining the best qualified subcontractorsIdentifies project-specific risk issues and the potential impact to Fessler and Bowman, as well as potential strategies to help mitigate those risksReviews project plans and specifications and communicates with project stakeholders and internal resources to confirm the scope of the projectPreferred Experience, Skills & Abilities for the Senior Estimator
    • Concrete PositionBachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least five (5) years of construction experienceProficient in using Bid2Win estimating software or similar tool(s)Estimating medium to large commercial and industrial projectsCreative and results oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self motivationExcellent communication and organizational skillsExcellent problem solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individualsCompensation, Benefits & Structure of the Senior Estimator
    • Concrete PositionThis position includes a competitive salary structure based on skills and experience with a comprehensive benefits package.
    The position is based in the Nashville, TN office and requires occasional travel between job sites.
