- Collect and prepare product samples in a laboratory setting.
- Perform quality control testing and evaluation at different stages of production to ensure compliance/consistency with designated specifications.
- Record and maintain accurate data.
- Communicate results of tests with supervisor(s).
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of basic measuring devices and machines.
- Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Students majoring in Food Science or a related field are preferred. Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.Seneca Foods Corporation of Montgomery, a food production and distribution center located approximately 35 miles southwest of the Twin Cities metro, is currently seeking a Quality Control Intern to join its team for the 2024 production season.
This internship is geared toward current/recent undergraduate students and will provide hands-on industry experience working with the Quality Control Department during the busy production season.
