    Description
    Do you have a heart for mission and culture, and a brain for all things digital marketing? If so, the Norton Museum of Art would love to talk to you. Our Communications team is seeking an early career digital marketing professional who will help us better connect with visitors and Members, bringing the transformative power of the Norton's world-class art and programming to a wider audience. This is a hands-on support role that will own the creation and execution of the Norton's email marketing program, make ongoing updates to our website and support other marketing and communications initiatives as needed. Must have experience and proficiency in building email marketing campaigns from the ground up, creating and managing lists and updating websites and an aptitude and desire to learn on the fly.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Email Campaign Development: Create and schedule email marketing campaigns, including creating target segments and defining metrics.
    • Create Basic Visitor Journeys, such as a Welcome Campaigns: Some experience in journey stages, nurture, etc. are ideal
    • Marketing Automation Integration: Experience with email marketing technology, ability to work within a platform (ie: Constant Contact) to design templates, build campaigns, personalize, run reports, etc.
    • Content Curation: Using exhibitions and programming as primary sources, collaborate with Museum stakeholders to source relevant content that engages newsletter subscribers and Members.
    • List Management: Maintain and manage all email lists, ensuring accuracy, hygiene, and compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Performance Analysis: Monitor, measure and report on campaign performance metrics.
    • Website Updates: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to complete both scheduled and unscheduled website edits using a Content Management System (CMS), such as entering and publishing exhibition and program information.
    • Website Maintenance: Identify areas for improvement and communicate needs to external web development contractors.

    Qualifications:
    • BA degree in related field (desired but not required).
    • Minimum of 2 years in a digital marketing role with emphasis on email marketing. The ideal candidate has a broad blend of digital marketing skills and the willingness and aptitude to learn new skills.
    • Proven experience building email marketing campaigns and some list management skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices, deliverability, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
    • Hands-on experience using content management systems to maintain website content, basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
    • Project coordination experience collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
    • Understanding of current web content best practices, including basic SEO, digital accessibility, and UX.
    • Some copywriting ability and knowledge of subject line and headline writing best practices.
    • Available to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.

    Physical Requirements:
    • The person in this position must be able move about inside and outside the office.
    • To frequently communicate with managers and employees, ability to access and operate computer and other office equipment; and ability to lift, move or carry up to ten (10) pounds.
