    Description
    JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIESA Quality Engineer assures customer requirements are met. Including defining what methods and equipment will be used to measure key quality characteristics of a process.

    They also work to improve the quality of a process, using data collected from the operations and applying problem solving techniques.


    Other duties of a Quality Engineer include:

    Experience working with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 or TS16949 Quality Management SystemsBuild working relationship with customers and suppliersSupport continuous improvement initiativesInterface with all Jet personnel and customers on Quality issuesPrepare AIAG PPAP's and FAI packages including dimensional inspection reports, PFMEAs, control plans and process flow diagrams.

    Experience in Six Sigma tools.

    Green Belt or higher preferredFamiliar with capability studies, Cpk, Ppk and presentation of data using standard methodsWorking knowledge of Minitab and InspectionXpert preferred Collect data to create and present company metricsHandle customer complaints and returns of the final product and determine resolution of the problemWorking knowledge of ASME Y14.

    5M GD&T interpretation and applicationAudit manufacturing and QMS processesProvide technical support to inspection personnel Other tasks as assignedJOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTSFive years experience with a manufacturing and automotive background Good decision making and problem solving skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to set and achieve goals and objectivesStrong computer skills including use of Microsoft OfficeAble to work in a JIT manufacturing environmentTHIS IS A FULLY ONSITE POSITIONREPORTS TO:
