- Prepare and distribute monthly inventory count sheets, maintain listing of inventory and reconcile to GL
- Reconcile purchase orders with vendor bills and payments. Review item receipts, fulfillments, and inventory costing including allocation of landed costs
- Perform gross margin analysis by location and revenue stream
- Review cost of sales and GL activity for appropriate classification
- Process inventory related vendor bills
- Review classification of credit card expenses
- Assist management with cash forecasting process
- Master new technologies related to financial reporting, client invoicing, billing systems, and payment processing systems
- Build strong working relationships with vendors and coworkers and work cross functionally with other Spiffy departments
- Advise management on accounting implications of certain transactions and budget variances/trends and report to management on the status of vendor accounts
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations, internal controls, and company policies and champion process improvements
- Support tax and audit compliance by compiling and preparing supporting information as requested
- Assist management with other critical projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline preferred
- 2-3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
- General understanding of US GAAP
- Demonstrates excellent time management, analytical and problem-solving, and communication skills and the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas
- Proactively organized, detail oriented, and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to master new technologies
