    Job Description

    As a Project Engineer specializing in commercial construction, you will play a key role in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Project Planning and Design Coordination:
      • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project specifications, scope, and objectives.
      • Assist in the review and interpretation of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
      • Coordinate with design teams to address design modifications, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other technical issues as they arise.
    2. Construction Management Support:
      • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established milestones and deliverables.
      • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation.
      • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and address any issues or concerns.
    3. Technical Support and Problem-Solving:
      • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and construction crews, to resolve technical challenges and ensure the successful execution of construction activities.
      • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and documentation to identify potential risks, discrepancies, or conflicts and propose solutions to mitigate these issues.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot construction-related problems and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project schedule and quality.
    4. Documentation and Reporting:
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related correspondence.
      • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and performance metrics for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and areas for improvement.
      • Ensure compliance with project documentation requirements, contract specifications, and regulatory standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (2 years) in project engineering or construction management, with a focus on commercial construction projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with an emphasis on commercial building systems and practices.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, AutoCAD).
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
