- Project Planning and Design Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project specifications, scope, and objectives.
- Assist in the review and interpretation of construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with design teams to address design modifications, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other technical issues as they arise.
- Construction Management Support:
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and address any issues or concerns.
- Technical Support and Problem-Solving:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and construction crews, to resolve technical challenges and ensure the successful execution of construction activities.
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and documentation to identify potential risks, discrepancies, or conflicts and propose solutions to mitigate these issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot construction-related problems and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project schedule and quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related correspondence.
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and performance metrics for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with project documentation requirements, contract specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2 years) in project engineering or construction management, with a focus on commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with an emphasis on commercial building systems and practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
