I initially got hooked by technology in 2014, when co-funding Grupo Quente – an online marketplace inspired by Groupon's business model. Grupo Quente’s sale allowed me to pursue my career in music: I have been a professional producer, singer, and guitarist for 13+ years in Brazil. However, I was itching to get back to technology and decided to stop music in 2019, and I moved to the United States to restart my professional career.
I launched Beyond Puzzle – an e-commerce puzzle store. I took a few computer programming classes trying to optimize my store and found a new passion: I fell in love with software engineering, which led me to join App Academy.

Since then, I dedicated all my time and energy to learning, improving, and growing within that field by helping small and medium-sized businesses reach their goals.
 

I am a Full Stack Software engineer who graduated from App Academy in San Francisco. However, before becoming an engineer, I have been involved in Tech since 2014 when I founded and sold my first tech company (a marketplace) in Brazil. I was on the entrepreneur's side back then.

Additionally, I have been a professional musician for over 10 years, leading bands, producing shows, and touring to more than 1,000 shows across many cities. I have also produced, released, and composed original songs for TV, radio, and advertisements. Fun fact, I composed an original song for Expensify!

When I moved back to the United States in 2019, I built an e-commerce business which sparked my interest in coding. I tailored-made my store on Shopify and got hooked on software engineering. That's why I decided to join App Academy two years ago and have been working on various full-stack projects since then.

Recently, I had an offer from Shopify that was taken back due to the company going through a hiring freeze and layoffs. Therefore, I am currently seeking an entry-level software engineer position where I can help solve meaningful problems.

In terms of my skills, I have experience with React.js, Redux, JavaScript, Python, Django, Flask, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, jQuery, SQL, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, AWS, Heroku, Webpack, Materials UI, Bootstrap, Git, RESTful APIs, npm, HTML5, and CSS3.

Some of my recent projects include LearnTube (Ruby on Rails, React / Redux, JavaScript / AJAX / JBuilder, PostgreSQL, Bootstrap), Geo-Quiz (FullStack MERN project, Library D3.js, Webpack, SVG), API Status Dashboard (React, SCSS, JavaScript), and URLshort (Python, Django, SCSS, PostgreSQL, JavaScript).

Apart from my technical expertise, I have also managed my own e-commerce store, Beyond Puzzle, from end to end, developed the store on Shopify, sourced products, supervised suppliers and shipping, and managed advertisement and marketing, resulting in monthly recurrent profits.

Before that, I was a producer, singer, and guitarist for the band Hard Label - KeisKara, recording five singles, touring 100+ cities, and performing in 1,000+ live shows, including TV and radio. I also produced shows (for studio and live performances), managed the band and light/audio engineers, booked venues, and negotiated performance and studio contracts.

Finally, I was also a co-founder and CEO of Grupo Quente, an online marketplace inspired by Groupon in Poços de Caldas, Brazil. I launched the company and established business operations, including Business Model, Go-To-Market Strategy, Pricing Strategy, and Minimum Viable Product, successfully selling the business for $1.5M equivalent. I ensured product adoption through various promotional events and the creation of an ambassador program, developed partnerships with local merchants, and managed marketing, logistics, and operations processes.

My education background includes completing an immersive full-stack web development bootcamp at App Academy in San Francisco, and earning credits towards a Bachelor's in Business (Public Relations and Marketing) at PUC (Pontifícia Universidade Católica) in Poços de Caldas, Brazil. I also received a certificate in Music & Production from the EM&T School of Music and Technology in San Paolo, Brazil.
