- Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage international shipments via air, sea, and land routes. Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, custom brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements of origin and destination countries.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders to optimize transportation costs.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents including invoices, bills of lading, and export and import documentation.
- Track and monitor the progress of shipments; provide updates to relevant stakeholders and address any delays or issues as they arise.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains with the logistics operation.
- 3+ years international logistics coordination experience _required_.
- Degree in supply chain management, logistics, chain management, or a related field _a plus_.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems for tracking shipments and managing inventory.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders across different regions and cultures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
