SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK
Job Description Summary:
This is a hands-on position that requires use of a computer and our ERP system to facilitate the movement of warehouse items both to and from production departments as well as to and from suppliers and customers. This position requires attention to detail in both documenting and verifying material transactions and any associated discrepancies. This is a moderately physical position that requires long hours of standing and occasional lifting up to 501bs. Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Shipment of Jiffy Products
Receipt of raw materials or other incoming products
Cycle counts, stock checks Related duties as assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Job Requirements:
Able to work well with small components Pay close attention to detail
Math skills; especially multiplication, division, and percentages
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
General Microsoft experience (Spreadsheet, i.e. Excel, experience preferred) ERP experience preferred
Willingness to take certification courses (ex. Forklift training)
Able to make judgment calls within the guidelines set
Have good hand coordination
Able to work under deadlines daily and monthly within the time set Work well with others
Packaging and shipping experience preferred
Flexibility in daily duties
People Contact: This position requires moderate contact, with immediate associates, Expediter, Vendors/Suppliers, Accounting, Materials Manager, Production Supervisor, and Managing Director.
Decision Making: This position requires working from detailed instructions. Decisions are made by the Materials Manager, Production Supervisor, and/or Managing Director.
Supervision Received: Assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instructions on non-routine problems. Work is reviewed while in process and upon completion for quantity and quality.
Education and/or Experience Required: Previous warehouse experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-onone and small group situations to other employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the Essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk; talk; and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the Essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
