    Location: Oakland, CA

    Job Title: SLPA - Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - School experience

    Details/Specifications:

    • Full-time role with a starting pay rate of $28 per hour, varying based on experience
    • School year: 2024 to 2025
    • Working with students from Kindergarten to 12th Grade
    • Onsite positions

    The Speech Language Pathologist in this role will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students. Collaboration with educators, parents, and professionals is essential to create tailored treatment plans and deliver therapy services to enhance students' communication abilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess speech and language disorders in students from elementary to high school levels
    • Create personalized treatment plans based on assessments and coordinate with teachers and parents for implementation
    • Deliver therapy services focusing on improving communication skills such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language
    • Track student progress, adapt treatment plans when necessary
    • Maintain precise records of student advancements, engage with parents, and professionals as needed
    • Participate in school meetings and continuous development activities to stay informed on the latest speech language pathology practices

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Speech Language Pathology
    • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
    • Educator certification required
    • Previous experience working with K-12 students
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Capability to work autonomously and cooperatively
    • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in speech language pathology
