    Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

    We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Oakland, California, for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, contract-based position with potential renewal opportunities based on performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in conducting speech and language screenings.
    • Implement treatment plans or protocols as developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
    • Document student progress towards goals and prepare reports for the Speech Language Pathologist.
    • Provide support in creating and maintaining an appropriate and effective learning environment.
    • Assist with the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student needs.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and service provided.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities as needed.
    • Follow all local and state regulations and guidelines for providing speech and language services.

    Requirements:

    • Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for Speech Language Pathologist Assistants.
    • Valid California SLPA license or certification.
    • Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistance or related field.
    • Proven experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
