    Staff Accountant (Operations)

    Schedule Commitment
    Regular attendance is an essential job function and generally works an 8:00-5:00 schedule, Monday through Friday.

    However, there will be times when it is necessary to work with your team and the department outside of the normal schedule including some weekends at various times of the year to provide our highest level of services to citizens, as well as internal departments.

    Pay Plan
    This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #14.

    The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade.

    Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.

    Experience

    A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 12 hours in accounting.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    Proficiency in reconciliations, daily cash transactions, journal entries, and support for annual audits.
    Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
    Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
    Effective communication and ability to express needs clearly.
    Ability to accept constructive feedback and seek guidance when needed.
    Commitment to honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Willingness to learn and grow, with a proactive mindset toward cross-training opportunities in other departmental roles.
