    Job Description

    Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is looking for an Asset Manager to join the team. The candidate will collaborate with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Ports Department and report to the PANYNJ Port's Maintenance Asset Manager, responsible for the Asset Management (EAM) program for the department. This role is based in-person, Monday-Friday at the New Jersey Marine Terminal in Newark, NJ but services may be required at various PANYNJ facilities as needed.

    The Port Asset Manager will be responsible for managing, administering, and maintaining location and asset data accuracy, completeness, integrity, and consistency. Key tasks include organizing and restructuring asset and system data, analyzing failure data, conducting reliability tests, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    Minimum Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, engineering, construction management, accounting, economics, or business administration.
    • Experience with asset information framework.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
    • Understanding of PANYNJ operations, maintenance, or construction contracts.
    • Leadership skills and experience managing diverse workforces.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience with Maximo 7.6, 8.4, or 8.5.
    • Valid driver's license strongly preferred.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.
    • Willingness to undergo a background check.

    Skill/Knowledge Requirements:

    • Oversee asset management and administer Asset Data Hierarchy Structure.
    • Organize and restructure asset data in accordance with goals.
    • Manage asset/location data for the Port Department's Asset Management Program.
    • Coordinate asset/location data delivery from projects.
    • Establish performance measures for asset management strategies.
    • Recommend and implement modifications for reporting systems.
    • Provide training support as needed.

    Reporting Location: New Jersey Marine Terminal, Newark, NJ; services may be required at various PANYNJ facilities.
