Description

Desert Oasis Healthcare (DOHC), a leading medical group serving over 60,000 Medicare Advantage HMO and Commercial HMO members across the Coachella Valley and Greater Morongo Basin, is seeking a dynamic Social Media & Public Relations Coordinator to join our Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

Develop and execute social media strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower base.
Create and curate engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, tailored to different audience segments and demographics.
Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities to engage with our audience effectively.
Implement paid social media advertising campaigns to support key marketing initiatives and drive measurable results.
Analyze social media performance metrics and generate regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Public Relations:

Assist in developing and implementing public relations strategies to enhance DOHC's reputation and visibility in the community.
Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure media coverage and opportunities for DOHC.
Draft press releases, pitches, and other communications materials to communicate key messages and announcements effectively.
Monitor media coverage and sentiment related to DOHC, and respond to inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Content Creation:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Digital Marketing Senior Lead and Clinical teams, to create compelling content for various digital platforms, including the DOHC website, blog, podcast, and YouTube channel.
Support the production of branded videos, podcasts, and other multimedia content, from concept development to postproduction editing and distribution.
Ensure all content adheres to DOHC's brand guidelines, messaging standards, and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the Director of Marketing, Digital Marketing Senior Lead, and other team members to align social media and public relations activities with overall marketing strategies and objectives.
Collaborate with the Clinical team to promote health education, wellness programs, and community events through social media and PR channels.
Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners as needed to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
2+ years of experience in social media management, public relations, or digital marketing, preferably in the healthcare or related industry.
2+ years of proven experience with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant social media platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences and channels.
Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite) and familiarity with SEO principles.
Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and engaging audiences through digital and traditional media.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
Experience with graphic design, video editing, or content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance is desirable.
Able to work effectively and efficiently in a remote work environment.
Experience using Zoom, or other video conferencing apps.
