- Handle general Corporate Governance matters
- Prepare relevant SEC filings as necessary
- Answer relevant any legal questions that may come up
- Maintain an accurate knowledge of any relevant regulations and requirements
- Assist in training new attorneys, as necessary
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor
- JD from an accredited Law School
- Be a member, and in good standing, with a State Bar
- 7+ years of legal experience in the financial services industry, Law Firm or In-House, with a strong preference for experience with public funds and the 1940's act
- The ability to effectively and persuasively communicate in precise, persuasive, and professional manner
- Comfortability working directly with C Suite level executives

Our client is a Venture Capital firm in Southern California that has a strong portfolio of business within the financial services field. They merge their expertise from years of experience in the industry, a strong business model that prioritizes investing in their talent, and an innovative approach that allows them to get in on the ground floor on revolutionary businesses.
They are currently looking to expand their legal team and bring on a Senior Counsel to handle general Corporate Governance and Securities, as well as handle any relevant legal questions that may come up. The position would be under the direction of the GC and would be in line to take over the GC position upon the GC's retirement. If you are looking for a position that offers clear opportunity for career growth, the ability to work independently while also having a strong support system, and allows you to work cross functionally with different teams across the company, this is the perfect job for you.
This position offers a competitive salary of $225k-275k, a hybrid working schedule, and the opportunity to work with a company that genuinely cares about its clients.
