    Job Duties

    The Deputy Clerk (Grade 9) Assistant Supervisor in the Traffic and Criminal Division is responsible for supervising employees in the absence of the Supervisor, training of new employees and assigned operational responsibilities in a fast paced, high-volume office with multi-tasking and frequent deadlines.

    Ensures court's instructions are executed and legal documents are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with the state and local policies and procedures.

    Must be committed to responding to customers and co-workers with a friendly, courteous, and positive can-do attitude and a desire to work in a team environment.


    Duties include handling a wide range of complex clerical and financial tasks to include: Assisting the Supervisor with supervision of the Traffic and Criminal Division, performing job duties of absent employees, oversight of daily court operations, ensuring smooth proceedings and timely execution, process court documents, scanning all case documents, large volume of accurate data entry and alpha/numeric filing, answering the telephone.

    Will have courtroom duties periodically. Experienced with Microsoft applications, Windows 10 and Office 365 a plus. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

    Minimum Qualifications
    High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful applicants will have considerable court, business, or office related experience to include supervisory experience. Applicants should be highly organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software required. Excellent customer service skills and retail cash handling experience preferred.

    This position could require long periods of standing at the public counter or filing for periods up to 8 hours per day.

    Must be able to bend and lift to retrieve files.

    Work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
