MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - 11 Months

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Valid N.Y.S. teaching certificate
Valid N.Y.S. School Building Leader Certificate or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years successful teaching and/or administrative experience

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

Administrative or teaching experience at the secondary level.
Background in the implementation of instructional technology, curriculum mapping, and professional development.
Background in integration of MTSS systems to inform instructional practices.
Knowledge of special education processes and programming
Evidence of strong instructional leadership and team building skills
Experience, knowledge, and background related to N.Y.S. learning, standards and assessments
Evidence of strong communication skills and positive interpersonal relationships with parents, staff, and students
Evidence of strong speaking and writing skills
Knowledgeable about the lives of secondary school students and a strong advocate for their success
High energy and considerable personal and professional integrity
Able to perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and daily operations of the school and district.
