- Participate in various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
- Support definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
- Assist with ground and flight test planning. Participate in conduct of ground and flight test.
- Contribute to definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
- Coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
- Support development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.
- Support fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.
- Assist with development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aerospace or aviation field
- Minimum 1 year of experience with propulsion or Nacelle design

Propulsion Design Engineer - Ridley Park, United States - Insight Global
Description
One of our leading global aerospace clients is currently seeking a Propulsion Design Engineer to join their growing team in Ridley Park, PA (hybrid schedule). They develop, manufacture, and service commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems. This role has a hybrid schedule so this individual will need to come onside 3-4 days a week and training is provided. Main responsibilities will include:
Qualifications:
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite during training and then will be able to switch to 3 days a week onsite
Pay: $40.00-$55.00/hr (flexible based on experience)
Hiring Method: 1 year-long contract with likely extensions and opportunity for permanent full-time hire

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
