PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The material coordinator is responsible for day-to-day warehouse and inventory activities on site at assigned power plant location(s). The Material Coordinator is responsible to maintain accurate inventory levels and utmost standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receive, store, issue, stage and ship a wide variety or material & components to support plant needs.
  • Prepare shipments and BOLs for material of varying sizes, shapes & weights, including DOT regulated Hazardous Material, emergent and small parcel.
  • Coordinate with Site Maintenance and Engineering to maintain catalog and inventory accuracy with a focus on Critical Spares.
  • Manage material availability through direct integration with Work Management and Maintenance representatives in accordance with published work schedules.
  • Support outage work activities including overtime and backshift support.
  • Work closely with site team and attends site functions, meetings and trainings as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five years or related experience
  • Ability to work Shift Work
  • Ability to be trained to operate forklifts & similar material handling equipment.
  • Familiar with Work Control, Planning and Maintenance functions as it relates to Supply Operations
  • Valid US Driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Previous forklift and material handling experience
